Addis Ababa - A 5-day photographic exhibition staged by Giuseppe Ninfa, a famous Italian cameraman came to a close yesterday at the Italian Cultural Institute. The exhibition features the life and environment of Ethiopian monks and members of the clergy in Lalibella and the Tigrai region.

Entitled "Christian Africa: Religion and Orthodox Churches in Ethiopia", the exhibition displays photos taken with unusual shots from angles that display the beauty of the subject in unusual ways.

"He is like a poet", said Emilio Longhi, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute.

"The photographic exhibition was also staged in Italy prior to its show here. And I hope this will be a good tourism promotion for the country," he added.

Alongside the exhibition a workshop was held on the theme: "The Work and its World: a Tale through Pictures."
